After reading the doctrinal statement of "The Local Church" I actually see nothing wrong with it.
They believe all of the correct things about Christianity and the Bible. The only caution I would have is their translation of the Bible being "The Recovery Version." I have not heard much about that version and it is probably not as accurate or correct as the KJV for example.
Here are some interesting facts about their beliefs:
"Through Watchman Nee's teaching Lee began to believe that denominationalism was unscriptural."
I would agree with that actually. There should be no reason for different denominations. Paul said, "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." There is nothing unified about different denominations. :(
This is good:
"Seeking a New Testament basis for the unity of all believers, Nee developed the teaching that there should only be one church per city. Such a practice would mean that Christians would meet together simply as fellow believers who live in the same city rather than meeting on the basis of any particular doctrine or person. Nee believed such a practice would eliminate the distinctions that divide Christians from each other and would provide the broadest basis upon which all believers can meet."
