Treasures

 "Do not store up for yourself treasure on earth where moth and rust destroy. Instead store up treasure in heaven." 

What does this mean? I have always felt it meant give money away whenever you have extra. But at times that is not the wisest thing to do. In general, we are called by God to be generous. It is true it is better to give then to receive. But receiving can be very nice too. 😃 The more you give out, the more you get. What goes around comes around. If you want treasure, whatever you consider that to be, give that treasure to others.

God says, "This verse means to be loving. Don't focus on this earth too much. Focus on eternity. What do you want heaven to be like for you? What rewards do you want to have waiting for you there? Live in such a way that you will have many rewards in heaven. How do you do that? Live well. Love others. Be kind and give to the needy. Never pass up an opportunity to love someone else well." 

"Give and it will be given to you, pressed down shaken together and running over."

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. My cup runs over."
