I actually grew up not celebrating Halloween. My mom would let me dress up as an angel for school but otherwise we stayed away from the holiday.
In general my parents felt, "Why would we celebrate an evil holiday?"
Overall Halloween is an evil holiday. Satan is pretty much praised by Christian America on that day. Only about 2% of the population would define themselves as Wiccan, or basically Satan worshippers, yet we all celebrate Halloween as fervently as we do Christmas? Why is that?
Mt. 7 says, " Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit."
We cannot be both hot and cold at the same time. Or at least we should not be.
Paul says, "Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial."
There is no official rule in the Bible that says, "thou shalt not dress up as a ghoul on Halloween," but does it bring glory to God or Satan? Think about it.
God bless! :)
