"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened....." Eph. 1
When will the rapture take place? Is there a rapture? Here is a quote I saw and wanted to comment on it:
"When the Church is taken out of this world and the great Tribulation begins to unfold in that seven-year period, WE who were a restraining force of salt and light against corruption and darkness, when WE'RE removed, that which is restrained is no longer restrained, and the lawless one, the Anti-Christ, will come in full power." ~ Joey Buran
Is it really that much about us as a church? Do we really think that highly of ourselves? Do we really think WE could be capable of restraining Satan?! We who are mere mortals? Do we really think we could actually restrain a heavenly being and one third of the fallen angels from heaven? No! That would be impossible.
This is the biggest lie in the church today! This is giving the church WAY to much power! How could we be capable of restraining Satan or the anti-Christ? Aren't we just mere men and not God himself? Yes God is living inside of us, but we certainly are NOT God. We would not have enough power to be this "restraining force" against Satan. This concept is ridiculous actually.
And it's based off of FOUR WORDS. The words are found in the following verses.
2 Thess. 2:6-7 says, "And now you know WHAT is holding him back, so that HE may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but THE ONE who now holds it back will continue to do so till HE is taken out of the way." The first "he" is referring to the anti-Christ. The anti-Christ will be revealed at the proper time. The second "he" I believe is referring to the Holy Spirit, not the church.

I was debating this with my mom just yesterday actually.
WHY DO WE THINK GOD WOULD SPARE US?!
He certainly did not spare me as his child from my dad molesting me and my husband who I loved with all my heart dying. SO WHY WOULD HE SPARE US FROM THE TRIBULATION?
Christians go through the same crap, excuse me, that non-Christians do.
Our life is not lived on a pillow by any means. God LETS us suffer ALL the time! Look at the life of Job! God DOES NOT have to, and I believe he absolutely will not, spare of from the entire tribulation. That could reflect the genie mentality that is prevelant in the church today; God will always gives us what we want. NO HE WILL NOT.
He uses trials to grow us. I know that. I know in my heart that I would not be the person I am today if I hadn't gone through everything I did.
I DO believe he will sweep us up before the 7 Bowls of God's Wrath are poured out however. But we will still see some crazy stuff before then.
2 Cor. 15 Paul says, "Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMPET. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be CHANGED."
The LAST TRUMPET is three fourths of the way into Revelation. When he says we will not all sleep, he means we will not all die. Perhaps that is why I have never feared dying, because I don't think that I will. I believe in my life time for sure, perhaps in the next 5 to 10 years, Jesus will come back.
Whenever I talk about Revelation or try to warn people they simply say, "God would not want us to fear." Is that so? Then why did he write the book of Revelation?
And on the contrary, then why is THE FEAR OF THE LORD the beginning of wisdom? People say, "Oh that doesn't really mean fear." Um....yes it does. Fear is fear. When people in the Old Testament saw God or heard God what did they do? They fell on their faces in FEAR. They trembled at the sound of his voice. Yes we are in a new covenant of grace with God now, but that does not change the fact that we are STILL to FEAR Him. Look at the New Testament story in Acts of Ananias and Sapphira. God made them drop down dead because they lied to Peter about how much money they had given the church. They lied to God. GOD DOES STILL WANT US TO FEAR HIM. And he, more then ANYTHING OR ANYONE, deserves our fear!

Or people might say, "But God loves us." The second coming of Christ and the final judgement of the earth is ANYTHING BUT about God's love. That is when he will say to the world, "That's it! I have had enough!" Look at Rev. 18 and 19. I believe that Babylon in these chapters may be referring to America.
Rev. 18 says:
"Come OUT of her, my people,’
so that you will not SHARE in her sins,
so that you will not RECEIVE any of her plagues;
5 for her sins are PILED up to heaven,
and God has remembered her CRIMES.
6 Give BACK to her as she has given;
pay her back DOUBLE for what she has done.
Pour her a double portion from her OWN cup.
Give her as much TORMENT and GRIEF
as the glory and luxury SHE gave HERSELF.
IN HER HEART SHE BOASTS,
‘I sit enthroned as QUEEN.
I am NOT a widow;
I will NEVER mourn.’
8 Therefore in ONE DAY her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.She WILL BE consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who JUDGES HER."
I read this to my best friend and she was like, "Yeah that does sound like it's talking about us, America." Yes it does.
Think about it. How arrogant are Americans in general? Very. Whenever we travel around the world, other countries complain about us because we are so haughty and so arrogant. There does not exist a more arrogant country then America as it is today.
Our sins are "piled up to heaven." Look at the millions or billions of abortions we have committed in the last 20 years!
"Give her as much torment....as the glory and luxury she gave herself." Is there a more luxurious country? Every family has AT LEAST 2 cars, some have 6 or 7, just sitting in their garages to look at! Every family in America also has a garage FULL of toys and equipments just for their own entertainment. We stock pile things and hoard and become greedy while the rest of the world starves! Why would God NOT judge us?! He should!
"In her heart she boasts...I will never mourn." How many Americans think that?! How many of us say, "Life could NVER be hard for us. We live in AMERICA!" Proud to be an American right? Well I'm not. We have committed more sins then most countries and the worst part of it is, we THINK we are doing nothing wrong! That is the BIGGEST lie from Satan to our culture. Romans 1 says, "They not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them." The state our country is in currently is probably quite similar to how the world was before the flood and how Sodom and Gamorrah were before God sent fire down from heaven to destry it.
"Therefore in ONE DAY her plagues will overtake her." What could destroy us in one day? An atom bomb perhaps.
Do you know how many countries hate us? Do you know how many countries would love to hit us with a nuclear weapon?
Think of that obnoxious kid in class that if you could you would have thrown a baseball at if you wouldn't have gotten in trouble. We are the obnoxious kid! It is quite possible.

Before the flood what did God say, "My Spirit will not CONTEND with humans forever!"
Gen. 6 says, "The Lord saw how GREAT the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that EVERY inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only EVIL all the time. 6 The Lord REGRETTED that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was DEEPLY troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will WIPE FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I REGRET that I have made them.....But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord."
And God told Noah to build the ark.
God "regretted" that he made us. You NEVER hear a sermon on that do you? We like to think God loves us ALL the time. Well the truth is, HE DOESN'T. Do you think maybe he is regretting that again, NOW? What do you think He thinks when he looks down on us and how we are behaving and how we treat each other? Do you think he is ok with what we are doing? He is not blind. He knows the beginning to the end. He sees EVERYTHING! Will he not judge us? Yes he will. The question is only when. And I believe it is quite soon, just around the corner.
After the flood God did promise to not destroy the world by a flood again, but he said nothing about fire.
Let's look at Sodom and Gamorrah. Gen. 13 says, "Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord."
Gen. 18 says, the Lord said,"The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous 21 that I will go down and see."
Rev. 19 says, "The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, 13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”
So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said, “Hurry and get out of this place, because the Lord is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking. (I have gotten that response much regarding this topic :(
With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.”
16 When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them. 17 As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!”
....Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land."
How can you NOT fear God when you read a passage like that!
Watch this....MANY are having prophetic dreams that they see everything in the USA burn away after Obama is re-elected, as he just was. The fact that he was re-elected confirms to me that this could all be true and happen. This could all happen this month or next month. "The Lord is giving them dream of great trouble coming to the USA soon."
