Keep Hoping and Believing

Just because something doesn't go the way you were predicting or hoping for, for now, that doesn't mean that it never will.  Just stay in faith.  If God told you that you can have something, you will.  Just wait on his perfect timing. "You have not because you ask not." If you want something, ask God for it.  "Delight yourself in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart."  What is your greatest desire?  God wants to know.  You might think "God already knows what I want."  But not necessarily.  Often times we don't even know ourselves what our greatest desire is.  We push it out of our minds because we think it's impossible, but what if it is possible? What if really "all things are possible to those who believe?"  How big do you think God is?  Do you really believe that he can do what seems impossible?  Why not just go out on a limb and ask God for big things, that big thing that you really, really want.  People are more bold with Santa and what they want for Christmas then they are with God.  What if God really does care about what you want most?

For some reason the predeominant thought among Christians is a very ascetic way of thinking that we got from the Catholic monks.  Most Christians literally think God wants them to be miserable.  But really? What parent ever wants their children to be miserable?  None.  Every parent wants their child to be happy.  Of course parents know more then kids what will make them happy, like not eating sugar will make them more happy in the long run so they don't have to suffer at the dentist's office.  So there are things we ask God for where he's like, "No that would only hurt you. I have something better for you."

Trust God's judgement in the long run.  If he doesn't give you what you first asked for, he will give you something better. :) But still ask, because you never know, you might get the very thing you want the most.  Just keep believing that it's possible, and it might be. :)
