Take Your Walls Down

So many people have walls up hiding them in from other people.  They don't want to let others in because they are scared.  Also so many people don't love themselves so they can't accept love from others.  If you hate yourself, you will expect everyone else to hate you to.  The funny thing about that though is you then cause others to hate you because you expect that they will.  You fulfil your own fears by your own actions.

Whatever we expect will happen is generally what will happen.  If we believe something awesome will happen with someone, it probably will.  If we believe it will end in a train wreck, then it probably will.  Life and death are in the power of our words.  Life and death are also in our thoughts. How we choose to think or believe about things is often what will happen.  Jesus said, "According to your faith it will be done to you." Be very careful about what you believe will happen.

If you don't want to stay isolated your entire life you have to let people in.  People will hurt you, of course, but God can heal you.  Love in an type of relationship is risky.  You never know if things will work out, but if you don't take the risk you will never know if it will work or not.

Don't keep walls up.  Take your walls down and let love in.  If you don't, you will live a very sad, boring and lonely life.
