I am renting out two rooms in my house now to two women. One is lesbian, which is quite ironic, considering how against homosexuality I am. The other was raped by her dad. Her mom is now staying with us to care for her after back surgery. I keep wanting to confront the mom and say "Didn't you know? How could you have not known what Your husband was doing?"
It is ironic how similar it is to my childhood. My dad attempted to rape me when I was 6. I had a lot of anger at my mom for allowing it to happen, or not knowing that it might happen. She was married to the guy. Couldn't she tell he was crazy? But I suppose her crazy radar was broken because her mom was crazy too. :(
For the longest time my ex husband didn't believe me that it happened. I suppose because he couldn't imagine a dad doing that to their own daughter. It is very odd for sure.
I asked God the other day why some dads violate their daughters sexually. He said, "Because they see their daughter as their property." There is a pervasive chauvinistic thinking among men that they are the master, and any woman around them is their slave. I don't know why men think like this. Perhaps because they are potentially stronger then women. It is very annoying.
In the book Captivating the writer says that Satan attacks women more because we are the bearers of new life. Men are jealous that they can't produce new life on their own, so they attack women.
People who feel small always attack people they perceive to be greater then themselves.
Men act like they think they are better then women, but really they know they are inferior, and that is why men are often so mean to women.
Take care ladies and may God protect you all. God be with you. :)
