No one is perfect. Don't stop believing in God just because people who try to follow him are messed up. The people who follow God are not God himself, even if they like to think they are sometimes. The only perfect beings alive are God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The rest of us are flawed. It helps to accept that about yourself and about others. Don't let your expectations get too high for yourself or others. We can hope that others will be good people, but we can't make them good people. We can hope that we ourselves will be good, but sometimes things are out of our control. Like how some say, "the devil made me do it." Sometimes the devil really does make people do things. The person is the victim. They let evil spirits in, so they are guilty of that, but the things they do can be caused by evil spirits. You should pray for people who appear to be messed up, rather then getting overly mad at them.
