Yes. God is at the same time 3 but also 1. He is God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are three beings but the same entity.
To say they are one means they are of the same mind. They care about each other deeply, like a husband and wife do, or are supposed to. The Bible says that a husband and wife are no longer two but become one. This is how God is 3 in 1, just like a husband and wife are 2 in 1.
All 3 members of the trinity appear 2 times in the Bible. Once at creation and again at Jesus' baptism.
Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." There you see referenced God the Father and the Holy Spirit. John 1:1 says about Jesus, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." Jesus is the Word. How do we know this for sure? In Hebrews it says that the word of God is like a sharp, double edged sword. In Revelations Jesus is seen with this sword coming out of his mouth. That was to show that he IS the word, meaning the Bible.
In Mt. 3 it describes Jesus' baptism, "As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. A voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” The voice was God the father and the dove was the Holy Spirit. All 3 beings of the trinity were present there.
There is a hierarchy to the trinity. God the Father is the top dog. Jesus is the second in command. And the Holy Spirit is like a sidekick to both of them.
Where is God the Father now? He is watching over the entire galaxy and considering making another earth. :) Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of the Father. The Holy Spirit is distributed throughout the world in the hearts of those who seek to honor God with their whole life.
Do you have the Holy Spirit in your heart? I hope you do. If you would like him to be in you, say the following to yourself, "God I recognize that I need your help. Holy Spirit please come live inside my heart. I can't live my life on my own. I need your help. Thank you for helping me."
May God bless you!
