I love the part in Forest Gump when he is telling Jenny about the beautiful things he saw when he was away from her. The crystal clear lake reflecting the mountains, the sunset in the desert and the stars in Vietnam.
The most beautiful things I have seen: a water fall in the Grand Canyon, the billions of stars you can actually see when out in the desert, the beaches in Hawaii, California and South Padre Island and Mexico. I worked on a cruise ship for awhile and our ports were gorgeous beaches in Mexico and beautiful cities in Alaska. I have seen a rainforest river in Australia, lightning bugs in Nebraska, jungles in India, beaches in Jamaica and the Bahamas, the mountains in Colorado many times. I have gone snorkeling in Hawaii, the Bahamas and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. I went snowboarding in the California mountains. I drove up through Oregon and through Colorado many times.
No wonder why I feel like I am 80 years old already. :) I have seen it all. Now all I want to do is lay down and watch movies all day. I am glad I saw all that when I still had the energy to, and before the world shut down. :(
I feel like God is saying he enabled me to see all those things so I can help him create his next world. That would be fun. I think I would have no deserts. It would all be areas with beaches and rivers and lakes. I have a strong pull toward water, probably because I grew up by a CA beach.
Someday I will help God create a perfect and totally beautiful world. I'm excited. :)
