God, is Jesus the only way to get into heaven? No, every religion has a Jesus but it is all Jesus
What do you mean by that? Every religion has a story that consists of me and Jesus and they are all right
Why didn't you just have everyone read and believe in the Bible? Because it is interesting to have different religions
So Muslims and Buddhists can get into heaven too? Of course, I'm not going to only let white Americans in, most of who don't deserve to go anyways.
Good point. So any missions work to other countries is pointless? No, if they are off in their own religion you can help them. You can encourage each other in your separate faiths.
So if people call Jesus a different name it is still Jesus? Yes
How can that be? Because I am a universalist. Surprise. :)
God says:
"Don't worry about what you believe or who you believe in. The main rule is that you love me and love others. If you do that, you will get into heaven. It is not cut and dry. Ignore the Bible thumpers who want to say everyone else is wrong and they are right. They only do that because they have way too much pride. There are many roads to heaven. That is not a heresy. Get out of your box. Open your eyes. Decide to love others regardless of their religion or race or sect or gender identity. God loves all people. All people can have a chance to be saved. Not just American Christians. Not all people are like you. There is a whole other world out there with people who are very different, but they can still be saved."
In conclusion, I like what God said, through me. :) The way that we think sometimes can be very racist. It seems holy to people who believe it, but actually it is racist. It seems like we are just saying what the Bible says, but what we are really saying when we say all that, is that only Americans or people like Americans can make it to heaven. But you are not God, they are not God. None of us can make the call on who gets to heaven or not.
People want to throw stones at Joel Osteen for saying Jesus isn't the only way, but he is just being humble and diplomatic. He doesn't have the luxury of only having white Americans that he is speaking to, like most pastors in America do. He is speaking to everyone around the world. People that didn't grow up in white churches, who believe a little differently. He sees that it is more a matter of your heart rather then doctrine that will save you. It doesn't matter if you know doctrine perfectly. If you are full of pride and love almost no one, why do you think you will get to go to heaven?
Think about that. God bless. :)
