Supidity

 A great quote from Willie Nelson, "Here's what you need to know about men and women. All women are crazy and all men are stupid." I would add to that, "Women are crazy Because men are stupid." 

When I met my ex husband, I could tell he didn't seem very smart, but I liked that at first. Like they say, "The things that attract you to your spouse will later drive you crazy." My thought process was, "Well that is good. That means he can't outsmart me." 

With the guy I was with before him, he was 7 years older then me and I definitely felt like he was smarter then me. I also felt like he outsmarted me, or he felt he could get away with more because he was so smart, like emotionally cheating with lots of other girls. 

My ex was like the polar opposite of that guy. It was almost like he hated intelligence, which I always found to be odd. He would always sneer at me, "All you intellectuals...." Like it was a really bad thing to be smart. 

In the Charismania cults they like to downplay using your brain, because then you aren't using your "faith," but really it is just that they want you to believe Them hook, line and sinker and not question anything they tell you. 

It is very dangerous to listen to anyone who wants you to turn your brain off. God gave us our brains for a reason. The Bible says, "Love God with all your heart, MIND, soul and body." God wants us to use our brains. He wants us to reason things out. 

I remember one lady in this Charismania cult that I talked to said that people didn't get the gift of praying in tongues because they were too smart. I could see some truth to that, but still, don't ever turn your brain off completely, no matter what anyone tells you. You need your brain to survive. 

God says, "Use your brain. I did give it to you for a reason. But don't rely only on your own understanding. Trust me. Listen to me. I will speak to you if you will listen to me."
