The House of Wax

 In watching The House of Wax I was thinking how those guys really needed a different hobby. They were bored and had nothing to do, since they weren't working, so they just killed every tourist that came within a 20 mile radius of their town. This is why men especially need to work, because they tend to do crazy things when they get really bored. 

If you don't do something constructive, you will do something destructive. 

It is like how kids will try to get positive attention, but if they can't get that, they will try to get negative attention. It seems every adult with lots of problems was not given enough positive attention as a child. That for sure seems to be a theme in scary movies. In The Ring, the girl was neglected as a child and made to live in a barn loft. In the House of Wax, one twin brother was born deformed, so his parents were more harsh with him then his brother. I think movies like that are meant to be a lesson to parents. Make sure you raise your kids right. Give them lots of love and attention. Or else they could end up becoming a killer. 

We learn how to love from our parents, as a child. If they did not teach us how to love, we might never learn how to. Or maybe your first lover will teach you how to love, like that song, "I wanna know what love is. I want you to show me." But it is very important that we are first shown love by our family. 

Another interesting thing from that movie was that good twins defeated evil twins. "Two are better then one, for if one falls down the other can pick him up." The reason the bad guys were so effective in killing so many people was because there were two of them. But where there is the potential for great evil, there is also the potential for great good. 

Recently my bf said, "Sometimes you have to show a bitch that you can be a bitch." Sometimes you have to show a strong killer that you can be Just as strong as them. Jesus said, "Be as wise as serpents but as innocent as doves." The biggest problem in the world is that evil people are smart and good people are stupid. That is why evil seems to reign. Good people need to be smart too. If you are not smart, how can you outsmart the villains? If you are not smart, how will you outsmart Satan?

Proverbs 4:7 "Wisdom is supreme; so acquire wisdom. And whatever you may acquire, gain understanding."
