If you aren't generous and you don't want to share anything, you won't have any friends. The more generous you are, the more people will love you. The more you share of your money or time or energy, the more friends you will have. We have all seen the movie The Christmas Carol. Mr. Scrooge has lots of money but no friends at the beginning. That is how it is when you don't want to share anything with anyone. You are all alone and you are miserable. You have no one who wants to be in your life. It makes sense why people become that way though. After a lot of people have hurt you, you stop caring about others as much. You just want to take care of yourself and that's it. Satan convinces you that every person will hurt you, and that you should stay isolated and not be generous with anyone. But at some point, God asks you to open up again and to trust people again. You remember that not all people are bad and you start to have faith in people again. You remember that when you share with others, they might share something with you. Not that you should share only to get something back. It is more blessed to give then to receive. But you realize that you feel happier when you can give something to others. When you only focus on yourself all the time, you know you are miserable. And the truth shall set you free! Being inward focused only leads to depression. Look up and look outward. What do other people need? Why do you only think about yourself? What does God want you do or to give? Go be generous, so you can be happier. God bless. :)
