To My Mom

Thank you most of all for raising me in church 

For teaching me to respect and honor God

Nothing else anyone has done has benefitted me as much as that

I always looked up to you

I always saw you as the strongest person I had ever known

And the smartest and the most resilient 

You could have given up on life so many times

But you never did

I wish we could have spent more time together

Throughout our lives

But we are both very reclusive and shy, it seems

I hope you know how much I respect you

And how grateful I am to you for raising me well

Thank you for all your training

I appreciate you and I love you.
