The Five Love Languages

I read all of this book today. It was very good, but somewhat frustrating. That entire book could be summed up in two sentences. Women should stay home. Women need to keep the house clean.

Every complaint from the couples in the book was regarding both a husband and wife working around the clock and the house not getting cleaned. Downsize. Get a smaller place that your family can afford on one income. Ladies, stop being lazy. Keep the house clean for your man.

Also ladies, forget about buying so much stuff. If you are single, you can work and buy anything you want. But when you decide to love and serve a man, your life revolves around him. Do you love him or do you love money?

Learn to enjoy the peace of staying home, so you can always be available for your hubby. Simplify the desires of what you want. Entertain yourself in ways other then shopping. If you can learn to spend less, you probably do not need to work. Try reading a book. You will be happy you did. Write your spouse love letters. Paint something. Get a few pets.

Life was not meant to be a constant tug of war of either making money or spending it. Learn to be content with less stuff. Do you have enough clothes and food already? Good. Stop wanting more. If you want to be independent then do it. But if you want to be in a relationship, that person is your priority. Make sure they are always happy. Ladies, your hubby is meant to be number one on your schedule. He is your boss. Respect him and cherish him. Then he will love and cherish you. 😁

Daily Bread

Does God want you to have enormous riches? Not always. Almost never really. Often when we get whatever we want, we get spoiled and forget about God. But when we have very little we might feel angry at God for not providing for us. God wants you to have just enough for each day. The closer you are to God, the less you will care about getting rich. Material things might matter a tad bit but they are not your primary focus. Your focus ought to be serving God by loving other people. Whatever creative way you can find to accomplish that, then do that.

Paint a Rainbow

Growing up I loved the songs from Rainbow Brite. One song talks about painting a 🌈 rainbow in your heart, meaning keep your heart happy.  This week I think I'll create lots of paintings. I think all my paintings will have a rainbow and a cross and flowers and trees. Like the movie What Dreams May Come, I'll paint what I think heaven might look like. 😁

Reading the Bible

I have only read the Bible aloud to about 4 people in my life. That is a bit sad, but it is what it is. With my first serious relationship, we read through Song of Songs together. It was super romantic. Then with my two daughters, I often would read to them out of a children's Bible that I got for them. Now I am reading through the New Testament with my kind and handsome bf. We were reading through Mark and now Revelation. I think our world is on the brink of Armageddon so I thought it would be great to read Revelation again.

What is next for all of us? Starvation possibly. Enjoy relatively cheap food while we have it. πŸ˜ͺThere will be a widespread killing of believers. Bring it on anti-Christ! Ok I'm a tad worried but also so ready to get to heaven. If I have to get there via being martyred, I will be totally ok with it. Meanwhile I'll just keep praying for all the people I love, that they will be counted worthy in the end of being with God too.

Keep reading your Bible people! And if you don't have one, they sell Bibles at Wal-Mart. 😁 For my fellow long term believers, don't ever assume you remember every word of your Bible. You might remember the gist of the whole Bible, but God wants you to keep reading it over and over again on repeat. You will become a better person the more you read God's word. So go read it. πŸ˜€

God loves you!

Maintain Grace

"Judge not or else you will be judged....Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

Give other people grace and room to be free to be themselves. You are not perfect, so why expect them to be? We are all just trying to get through this crazy world one day at a time. It is a long distance cross country race. Y'all know we all keep thinking, "Am I at the end yet? Am I done running yet? Is Jesus about to come back?" It's almost over. Just keep running. I know life is never easy, but keep hoping, keep believing that your world can be wonderful, and it will be. Make it lovely. Your world can only be as great as the amount of work you are willing to put out to make it great. So keep working hard. Don't fall down now. I know life can feel daunting, but God is always right there with you. He cares. He knows what battles you face. He wants to help you and be there for you. You only need to ask him for help and he will help you instantaneously.

Give yourself grace too. Cut yourself some slack. I'm sure you are trying. We all try to be good. We often fail, but we all try to live a good life. Never give up your faith that you can be good and do good things. Believe in your own effort, that it is worth your hard work. Keep being great. 😁 God loves you!

Cowgirl on a Mission

I came to this city 8 months ago like a daring cowgirl on a mission. My goal was to get my family back. I lost the 3 people closest to me 4 years ago. Instead I went down the career path. I had a lot of fun and made a ton of money. Now I am just planning to unwind and do nothing until the day I die. Except for care for my 12 pets πŸ˜€ and help my lover have a happier life. I have nothing else I want to do in my life. If we have a family, that is great. If not, my furry kids are ok too. I have done it all. I have seen it all. Except Japan and Italy. Maybe I'll start painting again. Maybe we will go on an around the world cruise someday. Maybe we will get to own a horse ranch out in the Davis mountains. God only knows what my next great adventure might be. Or maybe my adventures are over. Maybe it is just time to rest and to just be. I love you all. Thank you for reading my blog. May God bless you. 😁

My Garden of Eden

My back yard is my Garden of Eden. I now have 5 turtles, 4 kittens and 3 floppy eared bunnies. I have 20 baby trees and 4 rose bushes. I built a cute turtle pond in the shape of a turtle. πŸ˜€ I am working on planting grass all over the back and front yard. This home space is now my tropical paradise. In the evenings all my animals hang out together in the wide open space and I watch them chase each other around. It is a wonderful and joyful place that I have built. I know it will keep me happy till I die. It has taken a lot of effort to create, but it is worth it.

Thank you Jesus for my back yard Garden of Eden paradise. 😁

Verses From Memory

The anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Put away all malice and wrath. Anger lodges in the heart of a fool. As far as it depends on you, live at peace with all men.

Their god is their belly. Be not among drunkards and gluttonous eaters of meat. For poverty will clothe them like rags. This kind of demon only comes out with fasting and prayer. When Eve saw that the fruit was pleasing to the eye, she ate.

God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. 7 things that the Lord hates are haughty eyes, a proud heart...Do not look out for your own interests but also look out for the interests of others. The first shall be last.

The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. Godliness with contentment is great gain. For you brought nothing into the world and you can take nothing out of it. Keep your life free from a love of money for God said he will Never leave you or forsake you.

The last shall be first, and the first shall be last. It is in giving that you will receive. Whoever wants to save his life will loose it. If a seed dies it produces many seeds. Do not try to be served but to serve, and give your life as a ransom for many.

Forget the former things. Do not dwell on the past. This is the day the Lord has made. I Will rejoice and be glad in it. Forget what is behind and run toward what is ahead. "For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you, not to harm you. Plans to give you hope."

Fun Projects

My next fun project that will wake me up joyfully every day is making my front lawn look perfect. I am excited to get lots of grass seed and toss it all over to finally have a full lawn here. It is going to look awesome! I am considering planting some rose bushes too. That will look great! I hope and pray it will work. I live in a crazy hot dessert and just missing one day of watering could make it not work. This will be a fun project though. May God bless you and give you and fun project to do also. 😁

The Land of the Free

Thank you to my big brother and step dad and step brother for serving in the armed forces so that our country could be more safe. To any of you with loved family members who have served to keep our great nation safe, thank you.

May we always stay the land of the free because of our brave men and women who serve our country. God bless America!

Stuff

My entire life I have had an issue of always wanting more stuff. I suppose it passes down in generations, this lust for more and more. What I have is never good enough. It is like the crazy woman who looks in her closet and says "I have nothing to wear...." πŸ˜ͺ Or the person who looks in a full fridge and says "I have nothing to eat...." What you already have is perfectly useful, but there is always that desire for more. We are never satisfied, never content, always craving more. There is a hole inside that nothing can totally fill. We might drink, smoke, eat too much, accumulate tons of money, but still we feel empty inside. Only God can satisfy our cravings. Run to God before you run to the fridge or a store or that bottle. Only he can truly fill you.

I'm Pregnant!

The Bible says, "She will be saved through childbearing." I always wondered what that meant. A woman who has kids can be saved from depression. Saved from loneliness. Saved by striving to be a better person. Saved from selfishness by loving another more then she loved herself.

Children help us to grow up. I always have said until a person has a kid, they remain a kid. When you are in charge of caring for and loving a tiny human, your heart expands. You finally feel whole love for the first time. You feel excitement that God entrusted you with such a precious gift. You want nothing more then to make them the happiest child ever. You never get tired of hearing their cute laugh and seeing their smile. All you care about now is them. Nothing else matters. You are transfixed by their happy little eyes. Your sole desire is to help them become strong and healthy.

And then one day they run away. πŸ˜ͺ But at least you get to mold them and shape them for awhile. I am so excited to usher in another new soul. He or she will be wonderful to have. Thank you God!
