For 3 years I was on my own
I decided to stop acting like a drone
No parents or man to dictate me
For once I finally was free
I did what I wanted any day
It felt so good I must say
If you ever got to be free, you know
That is the best time to fully grow
A wiser person now, your life might show
You used to go wherever the wind would blow
But now stay in one place and fall in line
Maybe that is the best way to shine
