Money

The trick with money is to value it without loving it. It's pretty easy to be on either extreme. Just like hoarders and tossers are with stuff, people tend to either hoard money and love it too much or toss it and throw money away essentially on pointless things and not value it. The second has always been my problem. In not wanting to love money I under-valued it. Money should be used as a TOOL to survive, pay off debt, and show love to others. Don't put it on a shelf... and worship it. Use money as a tool.

It's important to value money, to not just throw it away, but don't love it either. As Jesus said "you cannot love both God and money." We either love God OR we love money.

The way to know what you love more is ask yourself which one do you think about more? Money or God? If you think about money more than God, then money is your god.

Be careful of that. For "the love of money is the root of all evil" and many have "wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows" due to a love of money. And yes I think that verse means they lost their salvation because they decided to love God more than money.

Money doesn't provide for you. God does. Never forget that. Don't focus on the money in life, focus on God, and the money will follow. "Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you." Amen.

God bless!
