The cold weather makes me think back
The familiar smell of the heater
Oh what happy days at the beginning
When things are new there is such excitement
Falling in love afresh with a tiny human
Before we ever got upset with each other
When he was so sweet and compliant
Now he is ever strong willed
But luckily I am stronger
Those days passed so quickly
When he was a tiny helpless infant
But I could also say
He is a lot more fun now
