“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord
looks at the heart.”
Does outer beauty denote inner beauty?
No, sometimes, but no.
Beauty is in the soul, in the inner person, in one’s
character.
If one is beautiful on the outside but their soul is
black are they then not ugly?
Yes.
Charm, beauty….fickle, transitory, fleeting….they will
fade with time.
But a beautiful soul…that will last for a lifetime.
May we all seek to have a beauty of the soul,
Rather than momentary charm, flattery, or the looks
of Hollywood.
In the end, the quality and tenderness of the heart
are all that matter.
How is your heart?
Is it tender?
God said, “I will remove from them their heart
of stone
and give them a heart of flesh.”
Make our hearts un-stony God and made of tender
flesh instead.
