Yours Forever Jesus

This song really speaks to me.  Always Forever by Dara Macclean.

"I used to walk this town
With my head hanging down
I felt so alone
I was so close to giving up
Lost all hope in love
So far from home
Oh, oh"

Such is the case when we look to love or other people to fulfill us.  It will never work.  People are not God and can never be perfect like God is.  Eventually we will give up on this futile search for "the one."  Then most turn to alcohol or drugs to numb the pain of love not working out for them.  And others run to God, as they should.  :)

"Thank You for finding me when You did
You changed my life, now I believe
That love is all, that I'll ever need
I promise my heart and all that I am
I'm Yours forever my love"

God picks us up "out of the miry clay" and out of the depths of the ocean.  He saves us from ourseveles.  He says to us, "I know a better way.  Depend on me for everything and I will never let you down."  So we learn to fall in love with him instead.

"You came and You rescued me
Showed me life as it's meant to be
So beautiful
You love me so differently
Chase all my fears away
I'm finally whole
Oh, oh"

We were created to worship God and to be in a close relationship with God.  Sin seperates us but Jesus builds the bridge so that we can at least be close to how it was originally intended to be between us and God.  It is still is not perfect though and it won't be until heaven.  God's love is different than human love.  God's love never dies, never ends and He will never leave us.

"I'm with You
You're right beside me
I feel You near
Right here to guide me
I'm with You
You're right beside me
To guide me home"

Like the poem footprints, God picks us up and carries us when life is at it's worst.  He is always there.  He is "close to the broken hearted."

So what do we say in response?  "I'm Yours forever my love."  God deserves all that we are, forever and always, because He gave His all for us.

Amen?  Yes.  God bless!
