Everyone is depressed 24/7 because we don't always get what we want and so we are depressed about it. The Bible says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick." When you hope and don't get what you hoped for, you become depressed. So then you try to stop wanting that thing, but that makes you even more sad that you gave up any and all hope.
