On False Teachers and Healings

In  the Bible it was only Jesus and his disciples that had the power to heal.  But in the last days, for whatever reason, God said that he will allow false teachers to have that same power.

I think why God allows false teachers is to really weed out the wheat from the chaff.  God wants to be sure who his followers are before the end.  Are his followers those who seek after a sign, those who want to gratify their flesh with a quick healing, or those who can endure pain and hardship and not run after just what pleases them?  God wants soldiers! Not people who want to just see a good show.  God wants strong and wise people in his army, not people who will believe what anyone tells them and worship people rather than God!  God wants warriors who can endure suffering like Jesus did!  Not those who can't bear to have any physical pain and follow false teachers who teach that God never wants you to experience pain.  Did Jesus experience pain?  Yes!  Excruciating pain! Are we going to most likely experience pain?  Yes!  Does God want to always spare us of pain?  No.  Did he spare his own son Jesus?  No.  So why do we think he will always spare us of pain?  He WON'T.  Don't believe people who teach such lies.  God is looking for warriors!  THAT is why he lets the false teachers deceive so many.  He doesn't want the lukewarm, he wants the genuine, gold faith refined by fire people, who won't give up when times get hard.  He wants people that will only follow HIM and not some mere man.  Don't follow people.  Follow God alone!  Don't give in to what people tell your itching ears what they want to hear.  Read the Bible!  Know what God says!  It doesn't matter what other people say God says.  What is God saying to you!  You don't need a word from someone else like you aren't saved and don't have the Holy Spirit in you.  You ask God yourself for a word or wisdom etc.  Don't follow the crowds.  Follow God!  Only God.  Amen.

2 Thessalonians 2:9  "The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders."

This means that some who appear to be teachers for God will perform miracles and heal people but not with God's power but Satan's!  So please, please be on your guard against anyone who performs signs and wonders!

Apparently, and according to this verse, Satan can heal people too. Why would he? To deceive many. Just because someone is healing people DO NOT automatically think they are from God! Why does God allow Satan and his people to heal people?  Why does God let them deceive people into thinking they are from God? I have no idea, other than what I said above, but he does.

It does make me quite confused though why God would let such a man like Benny Hinn, run around putting on huge shows all over the WORLD and confusing thousands of people! But since the beginning of time there have been false teachers that God allowed to exist. I don't get why but it is what it is.

But may God give us eyes to clearly see the truth always always amen!

Here are more verses that are good to read on the subject of false teachers.  You may have read them but read them again. ;)

2 Peter 2:1-3
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

("in their greed."  If you listen to Bentley or any of these people you will notice they ask for money or donations about every 10 minutes.  THAT is how you can know they are false teachers.  They love money more than God!  God said you cannot love money and God.  All they care about is money.  So they say some good stuff to draw you in just so you will send them money.  But don't!  They don't deserve it!)

1 John 4:1

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world"

How do you test the spirits?  Look at the fruit of the person.  Do they love money more than God?  Are they loving, patient and kind to others?  Do they really care about others?  If they don't have the right fruit then they aren't saved and they are a false teacher.

2 Timothy 4:3

"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions."

Modern day examples of this: "God wants you to be rich."  "God wants you to have total healing all the time.  God does not ever want you to be sick."  etc. But sickness and pain can teach us endurance and drawing closer to God.  That is what my Bible says anyways.  I don't know what Bible they are reading.  Or they just aren't reading it.

1 John 4:1-3

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already."

Amen!  But even if a person says the words "Jesus is Lord" do not then blindly assume that they are truly saved.  Anyone can say those words.  This verse is referring to a supernatural spirit that you might see or an angel.  If the angel you see can confess that Jesus is Lord, it really is from God.  But if not, it is from Satan, no MATTER how pretty it looks or how nice it sounds!  You need to question any angel that appears to you or any vision that you might have.  Just because it might look like God or Jesus or an angel doesn't mean that it is.  Joseph Smith said an angel told him to write the book of Mormon, and we all know that is a false religion because it adds tons to the Bible and violates the command at the end of Revelation.  Not all angels are from God.  "Satan masquerades as an angel of light!"  Be on your guard.  Don't get deceived by something pretty, like gold dust or glory clouds or pretty balls of light.  Satan can be pretty too, if he wants to be, in order to deceive you.  Don't get deceived.

Matthew 7:15-20

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire."

2 John 1:7-11

"For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works."

"not lose what we have worked for."  Can you loose your salvation?  Some say yes and some say never.  I think it's possible.  You need to always be on your guard against false teachers and this is the biggest reason, because they might actually cause you to loose your salvation.  How?  By getting you to not have the right faith anymore.   By getting you to believe in a god that they created and say God is rather then the true God.  "Pride comes before a fall."  If you think it's impossible for you to loose your salvation, you might take risks that you shouldn't take and so end up loosing it.  Don't be so arrogant about your eternal security.  You need to guard your mind and heart and guard your salvation.  "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling."  Fear sin and fear being deceived by false teachers.  Amen.

1 Timothy 6:20-21

O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge,” for by professing it some have swerved from the faith. Grace be with you.

Yep.  Don't swerve from the faith due to false teachers.  Guard your deposit of the Holy Spirit that you have by keeping a sound mind and always seeking the truth above all else.  Amen.

Colossians 2:8

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

1 Timothy 4:1-5

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared.

Galatians 1:8

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.

Revelation 22:18

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.

Acts 20:29

I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;

Acts 17:11

Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

2 Timothy 4:1-22

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. ...

John 8:44

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

2 Peter 2:1

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

Matthew 6:1-4

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

John 14:26

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you."

Amen!  And I will conclude with that.  The Holy Spirit will tell you when someone is a false teacher so just listen to Him.  Listen to your gut, so to speak.  You will have an intuition about people.  Don't let others tell you that your intuition is wrong.  That is most likely God speaking to you through the Holy Spirit.  Go with what you know to be right and true.  Don't let others sway you or force you to believe what they do.  Ask God for wisdom always and listen to Him when he speaks to you.  Don't listen to others.  Only listen to God.  Amen.  May God bless you all! :)

  1. Amen! Praise God. Couldn't have explained it better. It makes me so angry how many of these false prophets pray on desperate people who have no disurmen.

My opinion doesn't matter when it comes to personal preference however, I would just please ask to listen to some of these sound doctrine pastors (Walter Martin is now home with our savior) who are teaching from GOD'S WORD... THE BIBLE
