How to recognize a cult: religious abuse and attempts to control their people. But "where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom." Amen!
God does not seek to control us, he gives us freedom to make our own choices. He does not micromanage us. He gives us free will.
Watch out for any religious person that seeks to control you etc.

(Yep :( The biggest issue with speaking blessings into existence is God will only bless us if we deserve it. We can't command that God does certain things for us. But that is the other problem with the charismatic movement, thinking they can tell God what to do and when to do it. But God is in charge of us, we are not in charge of him. Amen.)
On the Prosperity Gospel etc.
"God's place is one of Lordship, not of service." God is our Lord and ruler, worthy of all honor, glory and praise. We do not rule God or tell Him what to do, ever.
When God revealed Himself to man He said that He was their Lord. We do not fully understand this concept of Lord in today's world for some reason. We think of God as a teddy bear now or a spiritual je...anie. But he is very much neither of these things.
"God never came to answer man's questions; He came in order to call people to repentance and to do His will."
God never answered all of Job's questions. His answer was simply "I am God and you are not. End of discussion." lol
Man is subject to God, not God to man.

This is the danger in the prosperity gospel. It closely resembles witchcraft, where by people try to use black magic to have power over things around them and manipulate things and people.

We cannot tell God what he is going to do for us. He will do whatever he will do, in HIS time, not ours.
When we read the Word of God, we cannot judge it, because we cannot or should not judge God. We need to rather let God's word judge us and correct us.
The Prosperity Gospel, Word of Faith, witchcraft ... they're all based on the idea of God as subject to man's commands.
But if you believe in the sort of God that obeys whatever you say, you have a very faulty concept of God.

Who knows. But it does seem to be a trend that people in cults sexually abuse more often. Whether the sexual abuser becomes that way due to being in the cult, or sexual abusers are simply drawn to cults, because cults give people power, just like sexual abuse seems to. That is why people sexually abuse, in order to have power over others. They do it when they themselves feel very powerless. Only God knows entirely the reasons why though.

The Local Church Cult
My parents lived in Santa Ana for 10 years when I was a kid, where they got involved in "the local church," which was inspired by the teachings of Watchmen Nee and Witness Lee. My mom regrets her time in that church, as it was a cult actually. :(
The main thing that made it a cult was that they focused on mostly forgetting your mind and following your emotions. They discouraged any contact with biological family members because your church family was your only family that mattered, in their eyes, even though my mom's family was Christian. They saw themselves as more elite Christians than other Christians. They called themselves "the saints." They regulated what the women could wear. They emphasized a works based salvation rather than saved by grace. There was a also high degree of spiritual competition in that church.
This was the church, the cult, my dad was heavily involved in when he fell in the way that he did.
It was overly religious and legalistic, so he struggled with his sin in secret, which is the worst thing you can do with your sin. Sin needs to come out into the light in order to be healed. But because the culture of this church was so judgmental, he probably felt that he couldn't talk about it with anyone. He struggled with a sexual addiction, which no doubt began with just pornography, and escalated to possibly child porn and then child molestation. Sin is a very slippery slope. Be mindful to bring your sins into the light so that they do not fester and get worse. May God give you wisdom in this and boldness to share with others and stay in community. "Confess your sins to one another and pray for each other that you may be healed." Amen! God bless :)

Moving
My mom moved a lot as a kid.
From 0 to 8 months she lived in Fort Worth, Texas.
From 8 months to 3 years old she lived in St. Lois, MO.
From age 3 to 9 she lived in Hixon, TN.
From 9 to 11 she lived in Cooledge, AZ. (She said that move was really hard, because TN was so green and AZ was not at all. Kind of like the move I did recently from MO to TX. From the forest to the desert. Very sad indeed. :)
From age 12 to 16 she lived in Gallup, NM.
From 16 to 18 she lived in Anaheim, CA.
And then from 18 to 20 she lived in Anaheim, Fullerton, Claremont for college at Scripps and then Santa Ana with my dad after they got married.
Then when I was 6 and she was 30 we moved to Upland by my grandma, her mom.
Two years later we moved to Nebraska where we lived for 5 years.
Then back to California and she has been there ever since. :)
But they just sold their condo in Costa Mesa and are hopefully about to move to Austin, TX by us. That would be awesome! Pray for that please lol. It's a toss up between Austin and Florida. So we'll see. May God guide them.

Persevere to be Saved
Does getting saved and praying the prayer automatically guarantee our salvation no matter what? What about apostasy? What about when Jesus says that in the last days many "will fall from the faith?"
What about the verses in Hebrews and 2 Peter?
Hebrews 6:4-6
"It is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Hol...y Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt."
2 Peter 2:20-22
"If, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”
My take on salvation: us being saved is conditional on our persevering to the end. If we do not persevere to the end, if we do not do our part and do the best we can in our walk with God with God's help, God will not save us. "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
"He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life." Rev. 3:5
"Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown." Rev. 3:11
Only if we persevere to the end will we be saved. The Christian walk is not about how you begin, but about how you end.

Vaccination Side Effects
The main issue I have with vaccines after researching them more is that they possibly put aluminum, mercury and formaldehyde in the vaccines. For what purpose do they do this is what I can't get. :(
Also whenever there is money involved things may not be totally safe. Vaccines bring in money, therefore, corners might be cut, warnings might not be given etc. If something makes money sometimes people will forgo precautions in order so that they can make a profit. This is what the movie The Fugitive is all about in regards to medicines/drugs.
One example of profit over safety and health is McDonalds. They mass produce food with all kinds of preservatives and additives. They don't really care about the people who are eating their food, they just want to make money.
So here are some accounts from friends about possible adverse reactions to vaccines in babies:
"I know that a family took their daughter to get vaccinations and then she became narcoleptic."
"My baby just had her 4 month shots and they made her a HOT MESS and super fussy for about 4 days."
(I wonder if that is why babies are vaccinated as opposed to older kids, because babies can't speak and tell you what the vaccinations are doing to their little bodies. :( Very sad)
"I know of a little boy that became a paraplegic right after his vaccinations. I don't know if it was proven that the vaccinations were the cause or not, but the mother thought so."
"My kids didn't have a reaction to vaccines per se, however, my 3rd baby had all kinds of ADD, ADHD issues and allergies & unexplained heart condition! All of which he has overcome as an adult!"

Realistically anything they vaccinate for, if it is contracted, mostly likely won't kill a child. The flu can kill a person but it is very rare. I get the flu almost once every year and it hasn't killed me yet praise God! lol :)
It sounds to me like the risks of vaccinating are greater and the side effects are worse than if a child were to actually get the disease they would have been vaccinated for. Almost every kid gets chicken pox and survives etc.
The facts are, sometimes vaccinations can cause permanent damage if the child has a severe allergic reaction to them, such as spinal meningitis, fibro myalgia, joint stiffness, narcolepsy, paralysis, etc. where as getting the disease is just temporary and may last only around a week.
Also mercury, aluminum and formaldehyde are in these vaccines. Why? What purpose does that serve in the vaccine? These toxic substances should never be allowed to enter the human body, much less forcibly so.
We don't know all of the unspoken and naively unlinked side effects that vaccines may cause, such as chronic ear infections, chronic sinus infections, seizures, ADD or ADHD, mental retardation, possibly autism, allergies, asthma, etc.
How do we know that SIDS, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, is not also a result of vaccinations? It usually happens, where infants mysteriously die, shortly after they get a round of vaccinations. It seem that it is too much for a baby's tiny body to handle. In getting the vaccine they essentially give them the virus. Why would doctors give a tiny baby possibly 6 viruses in one day and expect their body to be able to handle that and fight them off so soon after they have newly come into the world? It does not make any logical sense. "Come let us reason together." :)
I say vaccines, if done at all, should be done only on older kids that are around 2 or 3 when their bodies are more developed and can handle the shock to their system that vaccines seem to cause, and then only one vaccine at a time every few weeks or so.
I know this theory may sound a bit crazy, like it's something out of the movie Conspiracy Theory, which I recommend you watch, but the people who are in charge of Planned Parenthood, who love to give out birth control etc, and perform as many abortions as possible, believe that our world is overpopulated and want as few humans to be alive as possible. Their beliefs are like the computer in the matrix, that humans are merely an infectious disease on this planet using up all of the natural resources; that we need to be exterminated. Why the carbon scare that we are using too much carbon? Why all the abortions? Because the secret is that they actually hate humans, as Satan does and I'm sure they are inspired by Satan, and they want to slowly kill us off and prevent the human race from being born. The elite, the illuminate some call it, wants to kill off the common man so that they will have less people to rule and can then easily take over the world. The movie The Hunger Games touches on this idea, as does the book 1984.
That being said, who is to say that these people aren't also behind vaccinations? How do we not know that their intention is to actually harm and diminish the human race rather than improve it and cause it's growth?
In China, if any woman, has more than one baby, they forcibly will drag the mother out of her house to have an abortion at the hospital, no matter how many months along she is. I realize this only happens on the other side of the world as of now, but I believe it is only a matter of time before that happens here in the states and all over the world as well. We were the number one country in terms of wealth and power for a long time, but that wealth and power is now in China's hands, not ours. And "whoever has the gold makes the rules."
As Christians we are called to be "as wise as serpents but as innocent as doves." Just because someone pretends to care about you does not, by any means, mean that they do. There are con artists everywhere you look, hoping to deceive the naïve and exploit the overly trusting.
A final song by Michael Jackson, that he would have sang in his final tour, had a line that he kept repeating, "All I'm really saying is they don't really care about us." Who was he talking about? The government perhaps, the elite, those in charge of the medical field, the bankers? I am not saying the workers in the medical field are to blame, so please don't take this personally. I am saying the head guys who call the shots and pull the strings and make the decisions, in the medical field, in banking, in politics etc, it is quite possible that they don't really care about us.
Humans are by nature evil, very evil. We are all born with original sin. It is only by the grace of God that we are enabled to love others and give selflessly. But the majority of our population, about 95% I would say, are only out for themselves. "Narrow is the road that leads to life." We cannot be so naïve and ignore evil in the world. We cannot blindly think that everyone we meet has the best intentions for us and is actually concerned about our well being. Most of humanity only thinks about themselves, what will profit them, how they can get more power etc.

We don't know all of the unspoken and naively unlinked side effects that vaccines may cause, such as chronic ear infections, chronic sinus infections, seizures, ADD or ADHD, mental retardation, possibly autism, allergies, asthma, etc.
How do we know that SIDS, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, is not also a result of vaccinations? It usually happens, where infants mysteriously die, shortly after they get a round of vaccinations. It seem that it is too much for a baby's tiny body to handle. In getting the vaccine they essentially give them the virus. Why would doctors give a tiny baby possibly 6 viruses in one day and expect their body to be able to handle that and fight them off so soon after they have newly come into the world? It does not make any logical sense. "Come let us reason together." :)
I say vaccines, if done at all, should be done only on older kids that are around 2 or 3 when their bodies are more developed and can handle the shock to their system that vaccines seem to cause, and then only one vaccine at a time every few weeks or so.
I know this theory may sound a bit crazy, like it's something out of the movie Conspiracy Theory, which I recommend you watch, but the people who are in charge of Planned Parenthood, who love to give out birth control etc, and perform as many abortions as possible, believe that our world is overpopulated and want as few humans to be alive as possible. Their beliefs are like the computer in the matrix, that humans are merely an infectious disease on this planet using up all of the natural resources; that we need to be exterminated. Why the carbon scare that we are using too much carbon? Why all the abortions? Because the secret is that they actually hate humans, as Satan does and I'm sure they are inspired by Satan, and they want to slowly kill us off and prevent the human race from being born. The elite, the illuminate some call it, wants to kill off the common man so that they will have less people to rule and can then easily take over the world. The movie The Hunger Games touches on this idea, as does the book 1984.
That being said, who is to say that these people aren't also behind vaccinations? How do we not know that their intention is to actually harm and diminish the human race rather than improve it and cause it's growth?
In China, if any woman, has more than one baby, they forcibly will drag the mother out of her house to have an abortion at the hospital, no matter how many months along she is. I realize this only happens on the other side of the world as of now, but I believe it is only a matter of time before that happens here in the states and all over the world as well. We were the number one country in terms of wealth and power for a long time, but that wealth and power is now in China's hands, not ours. And "whoever has the gold makes the rules."
As Christians we are called to be "as wise as serpents but as innocent as doves." Just because someone pretends to care about you does not, by any means, mean that they do. There are con artists everywhere you look, hoping to deceive the naïve and exploit the overly trusting.
A final song by Michael Jackson, that he would have sang in his final tour, had a line that he kept repeating, "All I'm really saying is they don't really care about us." Who was he talking about? The government perhaps, the elite, those in charge of the medical field, the bankers? I am not saying the workers in the medical field are to blame, so please don't take this personally. I am saying the head guys who call the shots and pull the strings and make the decisions, in the medical field, in banking, in politics etc, it is quite possible that they don't really care about us.
Humans are by nature evil, very evil. We are all born with original sin. It is only by the grace of God that we are enabled to love others and give selflessly. But the majority of our population, about 95% I would say, are only out for themselves. "Narrow is the road that leads to life." We cannot be so naïve and ignore evil in the world. We cannot blindly think that everyone we meet has the best intentions for us and is actually concerned about our well being. Most of humanity only thinks about themselves, what will profit them, how they can get more power etc.
This is a hard truth to swallow but it is what it is. As we mature we are better able to see reality for what it is. We live in a very, very fallen and evil world, and Satan is the ruler of this world.

To Vaccinate or Not
Some pretty amazing research I have found on the topic of vaccinations.
I have wondered why there is such an epidemic now of ADHD in kids. It could just be nervous anxiety, or it could be caused by their vaccinations.
I met another pregnant girl on a recent cruise who said at dinner plainly, "I feel a lot better not vaccinating than vaccinating." And now I can clearly see why. Check out these quotes:

Walking in the Light
Some great quotes from a book I'm reading "Walking in the Light" by Neil T. Anderson, who also wrote Bondage Breaker, great book also! :)

If truth is to be known, the mind must be bypassed." oh dear :( lol A good book on this topic: "Don't Check your Brains at the Door" by Josh McDowell and "Love the Lord Your God with All Your Mind" by J.P. Moreland
"The Church of Religious Science....teaches that we are creating our own day-to-day experiences by the form and procession of our thoughts. (like the book Oprah raved about "The Secret") They teach that man, by the way he thinks, can bring whatever he desires into his experience.....this is New Age thinking." (This is somewhat like things Joel Osteen speaks about. However it is biblical to "take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." Our thoughts do somewhat dictate our destiny, but we cannot create things necessarily with our thoughts. Will Smith talks in this way and seem to have adopted this New Age psychology sadly. :( Pray for him.)

It's very attractive to the natural man who has become disillusioned with organized religion and Western rationalism. (This thought has somewhat infiltrated the church and many popular evangelists. We need to be careful of thinking this way.)
Anderson quotes John Wesley, "Do not hastily ascribe things to God. Do not easily suppose dreams, voices, impressions, visions or revelations to be from God. They may be from Him. They may be from nature (as in our own conscious). They may be from the devil. Therefore, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they be from God." (How do we try the spirits? Does what they say or do match up with Scripture? If yes, they are of God. If not, they are not of God. The Bible is our litmus test for all supernatural activity etc.)
"In our culture, if a person is hearing voices or struggling with his thought life, it is assumed to be a psychology or neurological problem. But I have personally counseled hundreds of people who are hearing voices and most situations, if not all, have been demonic." (Satan talks to us all the time. But we can choose to listen to him, or choose to not listen to him. When we listen to him he establishes a foothold in our minds. We need to refute his thoughts in our minds with the word of God as Jesus did. Amen. :)

From a secular perspective, every person harassed by deceiving spirits would be mentally ill. (Because Satan causes fear and anxiety in a person.) The secular counselor would conclude that the voices people hear or the images they see are only hallucinations. (Hallucinations generally are people seeing the spiritual world, angels or demons.) From God's perspective, it is the secular person who isn't in touch with reality. The spiritual world is very real." (Amen! All cannot be explained by science. "Our battle is against...spiritual forces.")

We have power in Jesus' name, more power than we realize. If anything causes fear in any way it is of Satan, not God. You can have authority over that. Amen.)
