Motherless America: How Feminism Has Affected Our Culture

I was in a class at Biola on Russian Women Authors.  The first day of the class our professor posed the question, "Can you be a Christian and a feminist?"

One girl in the class said, "Wait, isn't feminism just about equal rights for women?"

It is about equal rights for women, however the pendulum has swung too far the other way, from men being dominant to now women being dominant.

In the same sense that in life we as human beings can either tend towards licence or legalism, the shift of power has gone from the man to now women are in charge.

What effect has this had on our world?

Several bad effects.  The worst is how it has affected our children.  There is a wonderful book on this topic that I recommend you all read, "What Our Mother's Didn't Tell Us," by Danielle Crittenden.

In that book she talks out against the feminism in our world today and how it has wrecked havoc on our relationships, our jobs and most of all our families.

Children in the world, especially in America, are growing up essentially as orphans, which can mean that the door is held wide open for Satan, thus MTV.

There was a book written called "Fatherless America" that I have always wanted to read but haven't yet.  Perhaps I will write a book someday with the title "Motherless America."
