Be Grateful for Your Salvation

Not everyone will get to be saved. Not everyone is able to see God. Why does a loving God not automatically save all of us? Because he is just, and he has to punish sin. What is sin? Anything that you know deep down is wrong. That is what sin is. The Bible says the law is written on our hearts, everyone's hearts. We all know from birth what sin is.

Most people these days just think of God as loving, a stuffed teddy bear that we can hold when we are scared or sad. He is also the lion of Judah. He is fierce and strong. Read the book of Revelation if you need a reminder about how strong God can and will be one day.

Here are verses about unbelievers and why they probably will stay unbelievers the rest of their life. You can still try to save them, but don't worry if they never seem to get it. Maybe they were not meant to.

John 14:6

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Was he honest when he said this? Yes. It is the ultimate truth. If you don't believe Jesus existed and that he died to save you, you cannot be saved, for the most part. God makes exceptions to this sometimes, but not very often.

Luke 1:37

"Nothing will be impossible with God.”

Are there people who are impossible to save? No, because nothing will be impossible with God. If you really believe you, or that other person, can be saved, they can. Just keep believing. "According to your faith it will be done to you."

Can you as a saved person be best friends or married to a non-believer? It is not wise to do that.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18

"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, 'I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them,' says the Lord, 'And touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me,' says the Lord Almighty.”

Be careful who you choose to associate with.

Ephesians 4:18

"They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart."

Are they blind just because God wants them to be? No the first reason is because they hardened their hearts toward God.

2 Corinthians 4:4

"In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

This passage suggests that Satan keeps people blind so that they cannot see. But if a person really wants to see God, he will help them to see.

1 Corinthians 15:33

Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

If you want to walk the narrow path that leads to life, be careful who you listen to or talk to. This can be difficult. It is not easy to find good company, but try to so that the bad friend you might have will not make you bad.

Hebrews 3:12

"Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God."

This is regarding losing one's salvation. My mom and I have had arguments about this a vew times. She hates when I mention this possibility. I think she is scared it could happen to her. It can happen to anyone. Anyone can lose their savlation. That is why we have to "work out our salvation with fear and trembling." You can't assume you will always be saved no matter what you do. What you do still matters. It is not a one and done thing with praying the prayer and then you are good forever. You have to still be careful how you live and what you do. We are not saved by our works, but we also kind of are. If you really know God well, you will understand that. Jesus said, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments."

2 Timothy 2:24-26

"The Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will."

Captured by Satan. How many do you know who are captured by Satan? That is an interesting way to put it.

Romans 1:20

"God's invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse."

No one can say they found it impossible to believe God exists. Look at your own body and the complexity of it. How can you deny there is a God when you consider that? There must have been a creator. Many just want to deny there is a God, because they are scared of him. If you did the right thing every day, you would have no reason to be scared of him. So do the right thing. Then you won't be scared of God.

John 8:47

"Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”

This is beautiful. The Holy Spirit is said to lead us into all truth. If you do not see the truth, it is because you do not want to. You are not of God, but you can be. Just ask the Holy Spirit to take over your mind and he will.

Hebrews 11:6

"Without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."

"According to your faith it will be done to you." If you believe God can save you, he will.

More good verses about unbelievers:

Romans 12:2

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

1 Peter 3:15

But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.

Jude 1:22

Have mercy on those who doubt. :)

James 5:16

Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
