AA and The Dead Poet's Society

This is one of the funniest videos I have ever seen. lol :)

Check this out....

What does it mean for men to love their wives like Christ loved the church?

So many people in the Christian community focus on the verse, "Wives submit to your husbands" but never even mention the command to husbands to be willing to lay down their lives for their wives.  Odd isn't it?

I love the bit at the end how they all stand up on their chairs.  That, of course, is meant to be from the closing scene of the famous movie "The Dead Poet's Society" which ironically I was planning to watch with my friend tomorrow.

Scene from "The Dead Poet's Society."  In my opinion the most inspiring scene from any movie ever! lol

Also a great clip from this movie....

This movie was one of the main things that inspired me to become a teacher, as I still might be someday, maybe.  God only knows.  :)

Good quotes, "No matter what anybody tells you, WORDS AND IDEAS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!"  Amen Mr. Keating! lol

"We must constantly look at things in a different way."  "Strive to find your own voice."

"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation....don't be resigned to that!"

"We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race and the human race is filled with passion."

"Oh me, Oh life of the questions of these recurring....what good amid these?....Answer:that you are here, that life exist and identity, that the powerful play goes on and YOU may contribute a verse.  'What will your verse be?' "

What will your verse be?  What do you want your verse to be?

"Don't ask what the world needs.  Instead, ask what makes you come alive and go and do that.  Because what the world needs is men and women who have come fully ALIVE!"  Amen?  Amen!

May God bless you!
