Child Spanking

 For some reason, the majority of American parents now think that spanking is child abuse, but there is the verse, "Spare the rod, spoil the child." We wonder why so many kids now don't respect adults. It's because they were not spanked. If you want your kid to respect you, you have to spank them. Not a ton. Please don't spank them over just little things. Pick your battles. Meaning only spank when they do something seriously wrong. For example, my daughter was spanked for taking her seatbelt off and pushing her little sister down. There can be a fine line between good discipline and child abuse. Some parents discipline too much. Other parents like to never spank at all, which can be just as bad for the child. 

It takes energy and courage to discipline your child. You might say you don't want to abuse them, but really you don't have the courage to discipline them. You have to show any kid who the boss is, you. They are not the boss of you. You are the boss of them. Today kids are in charge of the home instead of the parents. It is very sad. I don't know how that happened, but that is why most kids are spoiled now. Most American children now are totally spoiled, selfish and narcissistic. You have to spank that ego out of them. :)

Kids will most respect adults that force them to respect them. Kids do not naturally respect adults. You have to train them to respect you. 

I spanked my oldest daughter. She needed more spankings than my younger daughter. I feel a bit bad now because she possibly had slight autism. It is possible she couldn't help what she was doing. But you could say that about any kid. They don't know any better, so you have to train them.

I think with most autistic kids, the parents feel they can't discipline them. They make excuses for the kid. Just because their brain is defective, that doesn't mean you can't treat them like other children. All children need to be disciplined. I think autistic children only get worse when they are just allowed to do whatever they want to do. I'm not saying it's easy to control such children, but the parents still need to try. If there is no control over children, our society will lead to anarchy, essentially. 

Make sure your kids respect you. It helps if you respect yourself. The more you respect yourself, the more you will know your kids need to respect you, and the more you will desire that they respect you.
