Both my bf and I shoplifted at an early age. It showed that we were all about sex early on, which is kind of funny. When he was 12, he stole porn magazines from a store. When I was 12, I stole condoms from a store. We both were born with a wild side. :) Ok, the condoms weren't for me. They were for my best friend who literally wanted to have sex with her boyfriend already. At the time I thought nothing of it, but now I am like wow that was young.
This is why I am partly glad I am not responsible for my daughters anymore. Girls now are having sex way too young. There is a good movie all ya'll may like called The Pregnancy Pact. It's about high school girls who make a pact that they will all get pregnant that year. One scene is particularly interesting. A girl tells her mom she's pregnant. Her mom is mad. She says, "Aren't you excited to become a grandma?" The mom says, "No one wants to be a grandma at the age of 30." So sad....what an awkward situation that must be for all the teen moms out there.
It's a very different world now. If kids in my generation wanted to have sex already at age 12, I wonder what it's like now. Kids grow up way too fast.
Tell your kids there is no rush to become a parent. They should take their time. It is nice to get out and see the world first. :)
