Do You Like to Complain?

The main thing I have taken away from years of watching Joyce Meyer sermons is that we need to complain less. The reason God kept the Israelites in the wilderness for years was because they wouldn't stop complaining. In Philippians the Bible says, "Do all things without arguing or complaining." Here are things we complain about:

If we don't have enough food, we complain. But if we have plenty of food and we start to get more fat, we complain.

If we are single, we complain that we are lonely. But if we have someone we might complain that they annoy us and we have to deal with smelling their poop or hearing them snore.

If we have tons of money, we complain about loosing any money that we have. If we have little money, we complain that we don't have more.

If our mom never contacts us, we complain that she doesn't care about us. If our mom calls and texts too much, we complain that she is annoying.

If we don't have a pet, we complain we don't have a cute furry thing to love and that loves us. If we get a pet, we complain about having to buy them food and clean up their poop.

If we aren't having sex, we complain and feel like no one loves us. If we are getting sex, we complain that it isn't as good as we might want it to be.

If we don't have many friends, we complain that we don't have people to hang out with and talk to more. If we have friends, we complain that they always seem to want something from us.

If we have a job, we complain we are tired all the time and our body is sore. If we don't work, we complain that we are stuck at our house all the time and we feel isolated and depressed.

If we don't have kids, we complain we don't have cute kids to be around. If we have kids, we complain about them needing to eat all the time and not knowing how to entertain them.

If we don't have a car, we complain we can't get around. If we do have a car, we complain about oil changes, car repairs and getting gas.

There is always something to complain about, but every cloud has a silver lining. Try to see the good in each situation in your life so you can feel more happy.
