Dark Versus Light

I suppose God lets evil exist so that when we are not experiencing it, we feel more grateful. Maybe you used to have to live in an evil situation, or you heard of someone else being in the midst of evil. When you come out on the other side, the sun shines brighter, the grass is more green, you enjoy peace more then you ever did in your life. You are 10 times more grateful for getting to have a normal life finally.

I have been watching some pretty sad YouTube videos lately. One was of a woman who had to deal with her mentally challenged/possessed son for 10 years. He was an extremely difficult and violent child from 1 to 10. Opera interviewed him and he talked about the negative energies. His solution was to put light all around him so that the dark energy can't get in. That is one way of putting it. Opera should have said, "That is God," but she just called it light also. She told the boy that she does that same thing to protect herself from negative energies, mentally covers herself in light.

That is a good point overall, if you keep light and God and love in your life, you will stay safer. If you focus on the good, there will be no room for the bad. "Give no place to the devil." "Resist the devil at his onset." If you give Satan a foothold into your mind, he might completely take over. Don't ever take off your coat of light, or take down your shield of faith, and let the dark get in.

When you have seen the dark side, you appreciate the light a Lot more. When you see the benefit of staying in God's light, you respect him more, you value him more, and you want Him more.

Some people have to learn the hard way. Rather then learning from seeing Satan mess with others, they allow Satan to mess with them. It seems like they have to see the dark side first, before they can really appreciate the light. They think they are untouchable, that is the problem. They think they cannot be as affected by Satan as they can be. They do not take the dark side seriously enough.

We all get complacent and bored with normal life. We can all get curious about risky things that are dangerous. I guess that is one reason why God lets darkness exist, so life will be less boring. It gives us all something to talk about, and think about and pray about.

If there was no evil, would we feel like we need God as much? We would be more self-sufficient wouldn't we? Our attitude would be like, "I got this, God, but thanks. I don't need your help. What do I need you to protect me from? I can just live my life for myself and not worry about anything." A lot of people do live like that, because they have not seen the dark side, or they do not take it seriously.

It is interesting God made us in his image, strong, but then he gives us tornadoes and satanic abuse and horrible bosses to remind us of how much we need him. He made us strong but then he lets us feel weak sometimes, so that we will "Lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge him and he will make our paths straight."

Keep your eyes focused on God, and then the darkness will never take over. May God bless you!
