To the Ladies

Here are many great verses for the women out there. :)

Proverbs 14:1

The wisest of women builds her house, but folly with her own hands tears it down.

I was all about building my house via buying fun stuff on Amazon. Then in one day I tore it down. I lost patience with my ex about his job and that ended it all. I, so to speak, tore my own house down.

Proverbs 11:16

A gracious woman gets honor, and violent men get riches.

That verse is very interesting. Be gracious. Freely you have received mercy, now freely give mercy to others. And watch out for violent men.

Proverbs 31:26

She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

Proverbs 31:30

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Watch out for loving the world and wanting to look like the world. Let your inner beauty be the most important thing to you. Fear and respect God and the rest of your life will fall into place.

Genesis 2:18

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

Ladies, be a good helper to your man, because he deserves it. At least hopefully he does. :)

Proverbs 21:9

It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.

Yes. I know about this from being around my quarrelsome mom. Keep the peace, as much as you can. There is no point to fighting. If you want a change in your life, make it happen. Don't try to fight others to make them make the change happen.

Proverbs 31:25

Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.

If you have faith, you know you don't need to be afraid of or worry about anything. God will take care of you. Keep your faith in God, not people, and you will never fear anything.

Proverbs 31:10-31

An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar.

She brings her food from Burger King. :)  Hey as long as you bring your man food.

1 Corinthians 11:3

But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.

Let your husband lead. You might not always like where he leads you, but men have a strong desire to lead. If they don't get to lead, they get very discouraged. Always let him be the boss.

Psalm 46:5

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.

Such a beautiful verse. :) This should be printed on wall decor.

Colossians 3:18

Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

This is important, because men love to be in charge. Let them lead you anywhere they want to, within reason.

1 Timothy 2:9-10

Women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.

A modern interpretation of this would be don't let yourself look like a slut. :)

Proverbs 21:19

It is better to live in a desert land than with a quarrelsome and fretful woman.

If a woman is fretful she is always worried about something. Try to not worry about anything. God's got it. You can let it go. Let go and let God right? The more you worry the more you might quarrel. There is no point to worrying or fighting. Both only make situations and relationships a lot worse.

Proverbs 12:4

An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.

Marriage can feel like heaven or hell, depending on your attitude, dear woman. If you are kind, your husband will see you as a crown. If you are rude it brings shame to your man.

Genesis 3:16

To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.”

Yes giving birth is not fun. Your desire, meaning you miss your husband a lot when you are not with him. But men have the instinctive feeling that they should rule over their woman, and they can be a bit heartless. The more strong you are, the less that will bother you.

Proverbs 19:13

A foolish son is ruin to his father, and a wife's quarreling is a continual dripping of rain.

:)

Galatians 3:28

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

We are all equal in value. Men are not better then women. Women are not better then men. When God see us, he sees us all the same. So that is nice. :)

1 Peter 3:3-4

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

Don't worry about make up or doing your hair a certain way. God loves your inner beauty more, and your man should care more about your inner beauty too.

Ephesians 5:25

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

Your man should be willing to die for you, ideally.

Ephesians 5:22-24

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.

Ok. :)

1 Timothy 2:12

I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.

I don't know what to say about this, except ladies, if you feel you have the spiritual gift to teach, then teach. :)

1 Peter 3:1-2

Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct.

We are the Bible that most people are reading. You are the light of the world. You are the light of your home. The first way that a lot of people will see God is in you. Make sure your man respects you, but serve your husband with a good attitude, so that you can save him if he is not already saved. There is a verse that says an unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife. Meaning he is saved by default essentially, because of his connection to you.

Proverbs 18:22

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

Yes!

Acts 18:26

Paul began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

In this case, women were allowed to teach a man. Interesting. :)

1 Peter 3:7

Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

Damn straight men. Seriously, be nice to your wife, so that God will still listen to your prayers. Clearly it is very important what your attitude is like toward your woman.

Genesis 2:24

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

The key word in this is "leave." You can't hold onto your mom and dad and rule your own home. You can't be a kid under their authority and the man of your own house at the same time. You have to pick one. You have to let go of your old home in order to build your new home.

I hope those verses benefitted you in some way. God loves you especially ladies! Keep being awesome! :)
