How Do We Receive the Holy Spirit?

God says, "You receive the Holy Spirit when you get saved; when you put your faith in Jesus. You have to believe that Jesus is God and believe that he died on the cross for your sins."

There are varying degrees of having the Holy Spirit. You can be baptized in the Holy Spirit, but then also filled with the Holy Spirit. The filling of the Holy Spirit makes you more talkative, just like being drunk. I think that is why it says in Ephesians, "Don't get drunk with wine, instead be filled with the Holy Spirit." Being filled with alcohol and being filled with the Holy Spirit both make you feel less hindered and more free. That is why the disciples were accused on the day of Pentecost of being drunk, because they seemed fearless and they were a lot more talkative.
