Here is an even better question to ask; Why does God allow good things to happen to bad people? That is the question that people should ask, because we are all bad. No one is good. Why does God let anything good happen to any of us? Do any of us deserve anything good?
No matter how good you think you are, you are not Good. You are a mixture of good and bad, just like everyone else is.
So no one is good. That is a fact. Second, what is bad? Is what you think is bad really actually bad? Maybe now you think it is bad, but a year from now you might see it as good. Hindsight is 20/20 right? It might be painful for now, but does that make it bad? If it makes you a better person, then maybe it is good.
