Don't Be Irritable

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful."

When I think of a person being irritable, I think of how I used to feel when I would PMS. Everything would bother me. That is why people say PMS stands for pissed at men syndrome. I think the cause of that is a dump of testosterone. Maybe that is why men often seem bothered easily. There is too much testosterone inside of them. If they don't work hard and/or they almost never get to have sex, their testosterone is worse and so is that irritable feeling they have. That can lead to them drinking too much. This is why you women really need to help your man in that area. The men of the world would be a lot more calm if their woman would keep them happy in that way. 

God intends for us all to be patient. Love is patient. To act with patience is to act with love. The more impatient you are, the less loving you will seem. Anyone who has road rage is obviously acting out of hate and not love. 

The more impatient and irritable someone is, the more rude they are. I have worked in customer service for a long time. There have been a few really rude customers I had to deal with. I always thought, "Why do they want to act like that? Why do they want to make life harder for other people?" It is usually because someone was rude to them, so then they pass on that rude treatment to others.

Why not stop the rude behavior with yourself? Just because others are rude to you, that doesn't give you a free pass to be rude to others. Hold your tongue. Be kind. Be patient. Treat others how you would want them to treat you. 

If we could all do that, the world would be a much better place.
