Don't Get Overly Tired

If you feel tired all the time, you could blame the people you live with and get mad at them. You could wish they were more quiet at night. Maybe it is your mind that is not quiet. Maybe your sleep is escaping you because you need to calm your mind. Maybe you are worried about too many things. Pray about it, or write about it. Whatever your are stressed about, get it out in some way. 

Life is much harder when you are tired, for sure, but this too shall pass. Drink some coffee in the morning if you need it, and try to cut out any caffeine after 7pm. If you eat before bed or in the middle of the night, eat cheese or nuts. Try to avoid sugar around the time you want to sleep. 

You might be annoyed by feeling bugs in bed. It isn't always bed bugs. There are dust mites that accumulate in your pillows and mattress. Get some kind of sealed cover for both. Run your pillows in the dryer if you feel bugs when trying to sleep. Change your sheets once a week at least and pillow cases every other day. Wash your blankets, or at least run them in the dryer every other week. Keep your floors vacuumed often. Mop your kitchen and bathroom with bleach water. 

Snoring can be a major hindrance to being able to sleep. Don't feel too bad if you need to sleep in a room alone. Obviously, it is nice to cuddle, but if the snoring is too much, let yourself be alone to sleep. 

It might be that your bed isn't all that comfortable. I strongly recommend a memory foam mattress topper. Those make sleep so much easier. Also get high quality sheets that are 100% cotton. I have tried sleeping in mixed fabric sheets, and it is a lot harder to sleep. Get a fluffy comforter. Those make the entire sleep experience much more happy. 

If you can't sleep in the middle of the night, get up and do something. Watch a YouTube video or write about whatever is on your mind. Then when you are tired again, try to sleep. 

Pray before going to sleep. Cast all your cares on God for he cares for you deeply. He wants you to get good sleep, so get it.
